Intracoronary Doppler- and quantitative coronary angiography-derived predictors of major adverse cardiac events after stent implantation.

چکیده
BACKGROUND Distal coronary flow velocity reserve (CVR) is significantly improved after a successful balloon angioplasty (PTCA). Furthermore, a postinterventional CVR >2.5 and a percent diameter stenosis (%DS) 0.88 was the best single predictor of MACE, with an incidence of 6.8%, whereas the combination of a CVR(rel)>0.88 and a %DS </=11.2% predicted an incidence of MACE of 1.5%. CONCLUSIONS Measurement of CVR(rel) and %DS after stent implantation are best suitable to predict MACE at 6 months.

Randomized Comparison of Elective Stent Implantation and Coronary Balloon Angioplasty Guided by Online Quantitative Angiography and Intracoronary Doppler
Background—The purpose of this study was to compare long-term outcomes of coronary stenting in all lesions (elective stenting) or only in lesions with inadequate morphological and functional results after balloon angioplasty (guided PTCA). Methods and Results—Treatment of multivessel disease, with any lesion length and vessel size, was allowed provided that all lesions were suitable for stent i...
متن کاملLong term angiographic and clinical follow up in patients with stent implantation for symptomatic myocardial bridging.
OBJECTIVE To assess long term results of coronary stent implantation in patients with symptomatic myocardial bridging. METHODS Intracoronary stent implantation was performed within the intramural course of the left anterior descending coronary artery in 11 patients with objective signs of myocardial ischaemia and absence of other cardiac disorders. All had myocardial bridging of the central p...
متن کاملThe influence of stent length on clinical and angiographic outcome in patients undergoing elective stenting for native coronary artery lesions; final results of the Magic 5L Study.
AIMS To prospectively evaluate the influence of stent length on 6 month clinical and angiographic outcome, in patients with native coronary lesions up to 45 mm in length, undergoing elective Magic Wallstent implantation. METHODS AND RESULTS On the basis of pre-procedural angiography, 276 patients (aged 61.3+/-10.2 years; 78.6% male; 41.7% unstable angina) with a total of 302 lesions were pros...
متن کاملFactors predictive of cardiac events and restenosis after sirolimus-eluting stent implantation in small coronary arteries.
OBJECTIVES Predictors of cardiac events and restenosis after sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) implantation in small coronary arteries were evaluated. BACKGROUND Although SES implantation has markedly reduced the risk of restenosis, small vessel disease remains a major cause of SES failure. METHODS We prospectively investigated the factors predictive of cardiac events and restenosis in 1,092 co...
متن کاملLong-term (8 year) outcomes and predictors of major adverse cardiac events after full metal jacket drug-eluting stent implantation.
OBJECTIVES We examined long-term outcomes and predictors of major adverse cardiac events after the full metal jacket (FMJ) stent implantation. BACKGROUND The FMJ procedure has been used to treat diffuse coronary artery disease (CAD), but long-term outcomes remain unknown. METHODS The study population consisted of 347 consecutive patients (352 lesions) who had been treated for de novo diffus...
